"Fashion became part of my daily life so I had to make it fun. I don't like monotony; I create something new every day."

He doesn’t merely enter; he commands the space. Carlos Adyan, the Telemundo phenomenon, moves with the kind of innate gravitas usually reserved for a seasoned runway walk. Today, it’s a sun-drenched Miami café, but the energy is pure Manhattan penthouse: composed, confident, and utterly himself. Draped in a masterfully tailored look from José Raúl’s latest botanical collection, there’s an almost languid assurance about him—the quiet power that only comes from deep self-knowledge.“Conservative, yet youthful,” Adyan muses, the light catching the exquisite fabric of his jacket. “I’m always willing to take risks, but elegance? That’s non-negotiable.” For Carlos, fashion transcends mere aesthetics; it's a daily, vibrant ritual of self-expression, a rebellion against the mundane. “It’s become intrinsic to my everyday. So, it had to be fun. Monotony is my enemy, so I create something new, always.”

That same, unyielding spirit of authentic creation fuels his formidable presence as a journalist and national television host. While many navigate the tightrope between polished professionalism and raw authenticity, Adyan has forged a career rooted in absolute transparency. “I am unapologetically myself on air,” he states, his gaze unwavering. “Expressing my opinions, staying consistent, and remaining true to my audience—that’s the current that connects us. That’s what’s propelled me forward.” This unflinching commitment to unvarnished self-expression, paired with a vibrant dedication to showcasing the rich, diverse tapestry of the Latino community, is precisely how Adyan is not just participating in, but redefining the very landscape of modern Latino media. He’s not waiting for a seat at the table; he’s building a new one, with impeccable taste, naturally.
His sartorial loyalty is as profound as his storytelling. Adyan champions designers who have marked significant milestones alongside him, like the ever-present José Ventura. And the brands that hold court in his rotation? “Dior, Ferragamo, and Louis Vuitton—always.”
Though his permanent address isn't nestled amidst the concrete canyons of the Five Boroughs, New York City, undeniably, lives in him. “I make it a point to be there at least three times a year—Thanksgiving, the Fourth of July, and, of course, for Broadway shows with my partner,” he explains, a genuine smile illuminating his face. For Adyan, NYC is more than a backdrop; it’s a constant source of vital cultural renewal. “It simply nourishes you. It’s the capital of the world, and there’s truly nothing like the energy—the amor—from the people here.” His sacred corner in the bustling metropolis? “Central Park,” he declares, almost a whisper of reverence. “I started running last October. There’s a singular vibe to that place—it clears my mind. It’s where I reset.”
This innate sense of discipline, a quiet hum beneath his charismatic exterior, permeates every endeavor. From nascent political aspirations to his ultimate calling in media, Carlos understood that communication—delivered with piercing clarity and undeniable courage—was his destiny. “I devoured television growing up,” he reflects, “It’s how I absorbed everything I know.” A pivotal, before-and-after moment arrived with his stint hosting Miss Universe 2020 for Telemundo. “I’d been a fan since I was a child. To be on that stage… it was transformative.”
Now, firmly established as a leading voice in Latino entertainment, Adyan shoulders the weight of that responsibility with grace. “Our community is diverse, beautiful, and that should be celebrated, loudly,” he proclaims. With the upcoming season of his podcast, the agenda is clear: amplify untold success stories, narratives that resonate beyond the celebrity sphere. “It’s not just about the usual faces anymore. I want to spotlight real achievements, the authentic journeys.” The fierce pride of being Puerto Rican ignites everything he touches. “Even on the moon—I’m Boricua,” he laughs, a twinkle in his eye. “It can be a demographic challenge in the U.S., yes, but it’s my banner, always, wherever I go.”

Despite his meteoric rise, Carlos remains resolutely grounded. “Some people are… confused when you offer such honest opinions,” he admits, a wry grin. “But I’ve always held fiercely to where I come from. And when I perhaps get a little carried away,” he adds, with a knowing look, “my husband is always there to pull my ear.”
The future, for Adyan, is an open canvas ripe for creation. He envisions a seamless expansion into the realms of fashion and travel content. “Imagine: ‘Traveling the World with Carlos’,” he says, the very notion sparking a new light in his expressive face. “It doesn’t sound bad at all, does it?” He's also keenly interested in breaking into English-language television and, ever with purpose, dedicating time to children’s foundations—a testament to his profound commitment to giving back.
His potent message for young Latinos dreaming of a career that gleams as brightly as his own? “Prepare. Don’t wait for someone to hand you a job—start precisely where you are. The tools, my dears, are already in your hands.”

When asked what anchors him through the most intense chapters of his journey, his response is immediate, unhesitating: “The results. I started at 18. There were endless distractions, but being goal-driven—that made all the difference.” His potent message for young Latinos dreaming of a career that gleams as brightly as his own? “Prepare. Don’t wait for someone to hand you a job—start precisely where you are. The tools, my dears, are already in your hands.”
And if, one day, his compelling story were to be etched into a documentary? “It would absolutely have to include landing my dream job, building a family with Carlos, and the defining day I truly moved to the U.S.”
Carlos Adyan, with every impeccably styled step, isn't just narrating stories; he is, with an enviable blend of discipline, drive, and unapologetic selfhood, rewriting the very narrative of what it means to be a Latino voice in modern media. And in New York, a city that knows a thing or two about iconic personalities, he’s already made his indelible mark.
